「KMB Fare Savers」 Terms and Conditions

  1. By using the KMB Fare Savers located at Manhattan Mid-Town, Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre, United Court, Wetland Seasons Park, Wetland Seasons Bay, Kong Ha Wai Transitional Housing, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum, Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple and Ma Wan Park (the “KMB Fare Saver”) of The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Limited (“KMB”), the passenger agrees and accepts to abide by these Terms and Conditions of KMB Fare Saver (these “Terms and Conditions”).
  2. A passenger, who has tapped his/her Octopus Product on the KMB Fare Saver located at designated location of Manhattan Mid-Town, Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre, United Court, Wetland Seasons Park, Wetland Seasons Bay, Kong Ha Wai Transitional Housing, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum, Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple and Ma Wan Park is entitled to enjoy a maximum amount of HK$1.00 fare discount (the “KMB Fare Saver Discount”) when eligible ride(s) is/are taken on the same business day. The KMB Fare Saver Discount is applicable to the passenger using a valid Octopus or Octopus product for Adult or encoded with Student Status, excluding (i) Child Octopus, Elderly Octopus, and Octopus encoded with Persons with Disabilities Status; and (ii) various types of Octopus entitling the holders to travel on buses free of charge (subject to the latest announcement made by KMB from time to time) (the “Octopus Product”). The actual discount amount is capped by actual bus fare to be deducted for the immediate eligible ride after tapping the Octopus Product on the KMB Fare Saver.
  3. A business day refers to a period starting at 04:45:00 and ending at 04:44:59 of the following day.
  4. An eligible ride refers to a ride with a fare of HK$0.10 or above on a KMB bus (except Routes K12, K14, K17 and K18).
  5. The KMB Fare Saver Discount cannot be used in conjunction with the discount of other fare savers of KMB (including but not limited to the fare savers of KMB located at tertiary institutions). If a passenger has tapped his/her Octopus Product on different fare savers of KMB, the discount shall be determined by the last fare saver on which the passenger has tapped his/her Octopus Product.
  6. The service of KMB Fare Saver may be affected as a result of the actual arrangement of the management office of each location.
  7. No passenger shall write, draw, paint, graffiti and/or vandalise any part of the KMB Fare Saver.
  8. No passenger shall interfere the operation of the KMB Fare Saver.
  9. KMB has the final discretion over the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions. KMB reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, without prior notice, to amend or supplement these Terms and Conditions; or to terminate or suspend the provision of the KMB Fare Saver or any discount, concession or other promotional programmes.
  10. KMB reserves the right to cancel an Octopus Product holder’s right to use the KMB Fare Saver if there is reason to believe that such Octopus Product holder is in breach of any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
  11. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap.623 of the laws of Hong Kong) shall not apply to these Terms and Conditions.
  12. Unless the context otherwise requires, words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa.
  13. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
  14. In the event of dispute, the decision of KMB shall be final.
  15. By using the KMB Fare Savers located at Ocean Popwalk (the “KMB Fare Saver”) of The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Limited (“KMB”), the passenger agrees and accepts to abide by these Terms and Conditions of KMB Fare Saver (these “Terms and Conditions”).
  16. A passenger, who has tapped his/her Octopus Product on the KMB Fare Saver located at designated location of Ocean PopWalk, is entitled to enjoy a maximum amount of HK$2.00 fare discount (the “KMB Fare Saver Discount”) when eligible ride(s) is/are taken on the same business day. The KMB Fare Saver Discount is applicable to the passenger using a valid Octopus or Octopus product for Adult or encoded with Student Status, excluding (i) Child Octopus, Elderly Octopus, and Octopus encoded with Persons with Disabilities Status; and (ii) various types of Octopus entitling the holders to travel on buses free of charge (subject to the latest announcement made by KMB from time to time) (the “Octopus Product”). The actual discount amount is capped by actual bus fare to be deducted for the immediate eligible ride after tapping the Octopus Product on the KMB Fare Saver.

「KMB Fare Savers (University/Institute)」 Terms and Conditions

  1. By using the KMB Fare Saver (the “Fare Saver”) of The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Limited (“KMB”), the passenger agrees and accepts to abide by these Terms and Conditions of KMB Fare Saver (these “Terms and Conditions”).
  2. A passenger, who has tapped his/her Octopus Product on the Fare Saver located at the institution, is entitled to enjoy one round of fare discount (the “Fare Saver Discount”) when eligible ride(s) is/are taken on the same business day. The Fare Saver Discount is applicable to the passenger using a valid Octopus or Octopus product for Adult or encoded with Student Status, excluding (i) Child Octopus, Elderly Octopus, and Octopus encoded with Persons with Disabilities Status; and (ii) various types of Octopus entitling the holders to travel on buses free of charge (subject to the latest announcement made by KMB from time to time) (the “Octopus Product”). If a passenger has taken another eligible ride before tapping the Octopus Product on the Fare Saver on the same business day, an amount of HK$4.00 Fare Saver Discount will be given, otherwise, an amount of HK$2.00 Fare Saver Discount will be given. The actual discount amount is capped by actual bus fare to be deducted for the immediate eligible ride after tapping the Octopus Product on the Fare Saver.
  3. A business day refers to a period starting at 04:45:00 and ending at 04:44:59 of the following day.
  4. An eligible ride refers to a ride with a fare of HK$0.10 or above on a KMB bus (except Routes K12, K14, K17 and K18).
  5. After enjoying Fare Saver Discount, no successive Fare Saver Discount can be enjoyed for subsequent journey unless the passenger taps his/her Octopus Product on the Fare Saver again.
  6. To enjoy another round of Fare Saver Discount of $2.00, a passenger shall tap his/her Octopus Product on the Fare Saver after enjoying the previous Fare Saver Discount, and then takes another eligible ride.
  7. To enjoy another round of Fare Saver Discount of $4.00, a passenger shall take another eligible ride after enjoying the previous Fare Saver Discount, then taps his/her Octopus Product on the Fare Saver and take another eligible ride.
  8. A passenger will not be eligible for the Fare Saver Discount of $4.00 if more than 9 transactions have been made on the Octopus Product between the eligible ride before tapping the Fare Saver and the eligible ride after tapping the Fare Saver.
  9. The Fare Saver Discount cannot be used in conjunction with the discount of other Fare Saver (including but not limited to the discount of New Town Plaza Fare Saver). If passenger has tapped his/her Octopus Product at different Fare Savers, the discount shall be determined by the last Fare Saver that the passenger has tapped his/her Octopus Product. If passengers would like to enjoy the Fare Saver Discount for tertiary institutions after enjoying the discount of other Fare Saver, please refer to items 6 to 7.
  10. No passenger shall write, draw, paint, graffiti and/or vandalise any part of the Fare Saver.
  11. No passenger shall interfere the operation of the Fare Saver.
