By using an adult Octopus card at MTR Fare Savers, you can tap your card and enter the designated MTR station on the same day to enjoy a discount of $2 or more on your next journey.

The discount can also be used in conjunction with transfer discounts (whichever is higher) and morning discounts, allowing you to save even more. Passengers using an adult Octopus card with a monthly pass can also enjoy a 25% discount on connecting journeys for the entire month.

「MTR Fare Savers」 Terms and Conditions

1. Passengers who tap an Adult Octopus on the MTR Fare Saver reader before an MTR ride, and enter through the designated MTR station(s) as specified with the respective Fare Saver will be eligible for a $2 Fare Saver discount (“Fare Saver discount”). Passengers aged 60-64 using a JoyYou Card will be applicable to the Adult Octopus fare with trips to and from Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau stations and to Racecourse Station, and are eligible for the Fare Saver discount.
2. The Fare Saver discount is valid for a same-day paid trip (until the end of service that day) from the designated stations. If the same Octopus is used for entry at a non-designated MTR station, the Fare Saver discount will be deemed ineligible and void.
3. If more than one Fare Saver discount is recorded, the last Fare Saver discount recorded will be applied.
4. The Early Bird Discount and the 25% discount for connecting journeys of Monthly Pass (except for East Rail Line First Class Premium) can be used in conjunction with the Fare Saver discount. The total discount amount shall not exceed the rail fare deducted. For details of the above-mentioned promotions, please refer to the respective promotional leaflets.
5. The following trips are not eligible for the Fare Saver discount:
   • Airport Express
   • Airport Express Free MTR Connections
   • Monthly Pass for unlimited travel on a designated line, including passengers paying the First Class Premium
   • Fare Saver discount obtained during the interchange at Tsim Sha Tsui Station/East Tsim Sha Tsui Station within a 30-minute limit

7. For locations and the latest details of Fare Savers, please visit MTR
8. MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to alter or terminate the MTR Fare Saver discount offer at any time without prior notice.
9. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance shall not apply to the terms and conditions herein.
10. MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to make the final decision in the event of any dispute.
